Information
The Board of Trustees of The Elliott Community is proud to present two new fundraising initiatives – The Elliott Community Endowment Fund and The Enhanced Living Fund. Through a collaborative partnership with the Guelph Community Foundation, we have established the Endowment Fund to meet the needs of future residents. In addition, The Elliott Community will manage its own Enhanced Living Fund to meet the needs of today’s residents. All contributions to these Funds will be honoured in our Donor Recognition Display as well as in our Annual Report. In addition, The Elliott Community has several naming opportunities for areas within our buildings that could be named after a corporation or specific individual.
The Elliott Community Endowment Fund - your gift lives forever
Plant a seed, watch it grow and over time it will produce a harvest year after year. That’s the way an endowment fund works. Your generous donation is added to the collective endowment fund and the interest from it is used every year while your original donation remains untouched. It’s about leaving a legacy that will have a lasting effect. Donations of any amount towards the Endowment Fund will be appreciated and appropriately recognized. What a wonderful idea to commemorate a special birthday, anniversary or to memorialize the loss of a loved one.
The Elliott Community Enhanced Living Fund - “you see the results”
The purpose of the Enhanced Living Fund is to build donations that are specifically designated to support expenditures that directly impact our residents’ lives. All contributions to this Fund will be managed and maintained by our Board of Trustees. Only when a project meets the specific criteria of directly benefiting the lives of our residents, would any of these funds be used. Some examples might include recreational equipment, a mobility transportation program, specific resident care equipment, outdoor accessible gardens, etc. These funds will be annually acknowledged within our marketing material and separately identified within our Donor Recognition Display.
A Brief History
For over 100 Years, The Elliott Community has served citizens of Guelph and Wellington County. As a not-for-profit, registered charitable corporation, The Elliott Community provides a continuum of care for our 350 residents ranging from independent to fully-dependant care. We are proud of our history! Throughout, we’ve strived to make our residents feel as though they are members of a special community. For them, The Elliott is their home and that’s reflected in our mission, “Quality choices for mature living in a safe, caring, home-like environment.”
